The Association for German-African Cooperation (DAZ e. V.) made it possible, thanks to the commitment of the Braun entrepreneurial family from Greifswald, to build a clinic in the savannah of Togo, one of the poorest areas in the country. At the beginning of 2021, the only hospital within a radius of 150 km opened in the town of Cinkassé.
The focus of the hospital’s medical care is on gynaecology, paediatrics, surgery and internal medicine, and on reducing the current infant mortality rate of 144 per 100,000 births.
However, the hospital has no ambulance to ensure fast and smooth patient transport. Inros Lackner hilft is supporting the purchase of an ambulance and its delivery to Togo.
