INROS LACKNER HILFT supports ‘Nest Baby Village’ in Nairobi
The ‘Nest Baby Village’ infant home was officially opened in 2014 and provides space for up to 25 abandoned or neglected babies aged 0 to 2 years. ‘Inros Lackner hilft’ learnt from Lufthansa pilot Andreas Hornemann that the home's photovoltaic solar system, which among other uses provides off-grid power for the medicine refrigerators, was no longer working.
Mr Hornemann and Dr Klaus Richter, Managing Director of Inros Lackner SE, used their contacts to mobilise experts to repair the system's electrics. Inros Lackner hilft was immediately prepared to finance the replacement of the key technical components of the entire system.
We are proud to have made a small contribution to this important project which helps meet the needs of innocent children.
